Privacy Policy

Velydoc ("we", "us") offers free file tools at velydoc.com. This page explains what happens to your data.

Your files

All conversion and editing happens in your browser on your own device. Your files are not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see or keep them. They disappear when you close or reload the page.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details to use the tools. Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and operation. If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply.

Advertising and cookies

We show ads provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, including personalised ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. Learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can manage personalised ads at adssettings.google.com. Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we ask for your consent before ads that use cookies are shown.

Fonts and libraries

To display the site, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts and code libraries from public content delivery networks (cdnjs and jsDelivr). Those providers can see your IP address when your browser requests these resources. Your files are not sent to them.

The OCR PDF tool also downloads its text recognition engine from jsDelivr and the language data from the public Tesseract.js host (tessdata.projectnaptha.com), which can likewise see your IP address. The pages you scan are read inside your browser and are never uploaded.

Feedback

If you send us feedback, your message and the optional email address you type are delivered to us through a form service, Web3Forms. We also send the name of the page you were on, but not your files. The service may keep submissions for a short time (its free plan states 30 days) before they are deleted. We use feedback only to improve the site and to reply if you asked us to. Please do not include private information in your message.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. Because we hold almost none, most requests are simple. Contact us at contact@velydoc.com.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
