Questions

Which languages work?

English, Romanian and Russian. Pick the language that matches your document. If a page mixes languages, choose a combined option.

How accurate is it?

Clean, straight scans are usually read very well. Blurry, dark or skewed pages give more mistakes, so always check the text before you rely on it.

Why is the first run slower?

The first time, your browser downloads the recognition engine and the language data (about 10–20 MB). After that it is kept by your browser and starts much faster.

How long does it take?

Usually a few seconds per page, depending on your device. You can press Cancel at any time.

What is a searchable PDF?

It looks exactly like your scan, but the text is hidden underneath, so you can search it, select it and copy it.

Does it read handwriting?

No. It works on printed text only.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Your pages are read inside your browser. Only the recognition engine and language data are downloaded.
